What I Really Want To Know Is…

The Standard is going to do a series of psots in which party leaders get to respond to questions submitted by readers. An excellent idea both for the reputation of the blogopshere and the opportunity to ask questions of the leaders without the press gallery filter in the way.

Get over and make your suggestions.

but, but… “without the filter of the press gallery”… we would be in danger of learning something.

Bloody hell but those Republicans certainly suck at being a government don’t they?

How in the name of all that slithers and crawls could you, as a government of the USA make such a hash of something so totally American as delivering ammunition to your troops. It has to be deliberate.

I’m starting to think Andy Kaufman didn’t die. He dropped off the radar, got some plastic surgery and is somewhere in Washington, ruining things and wondering when someone, anyone, will get the joke, so that he can stop before everybody dies.

But which one is he? I vote Cheney.

One of the comments under the link posted nails it:

The Bush Administration and the Republican ideology have ruined two things here: The honor of being a public servant and the privilege of winning a government contract and meeting its obligations.

A bankrupt ideology of governing meets a corrupt Bear Stearns private market.

It was designed to happen this way.

    Ruination.

I suspect that the criminal gang running the USA (not necessarily the puppet functionaries out front, but the real string pullers) hijacked the GOP for the underlying purpose of discrediting the idea of government so badly, that in the end, the people would object little when they finally “drowned it in a bathtub”.
